Spc. Stanley Solyian, a member of the Army National Guard of Binghampton, NY (204th Eng. FSC), is the first recipient of a grant from Honor Our Troops.

Spc. Solyian returned home from his second tour in Iraq last year and has since been seeking employment in a different economy from the one that existed when he first deployed. His second child, Stanley, Jr. has recently arrived and like many military families theirs has been struggling.

That’s where Honor Our Troops comes in–it’s why we were formed in the first place, in fact.

The Solyians needed help fixing the transmission on their family vehicle, without which it would be difficult for them to seek employment or take care of their family. Through a grant from Honor Our Troops, paid directly to the service provider, that’s exactly what they received.

Honor Our Troops is proud and honored to have begun fulfilling our mission by helping the Solyians, who have done far more to help our country than we can ever repay.

If you know someone from a military family who needs a bit of extra help these days, let us know. And, if you can donate to this worthy cause, we can use your help.
