Im not sure how to write this or where to begin, but I hope this is good.

I am Staff Sergeant Juan Carachure and active duty service member in the United States Marine Corps. I am a father of an energetic little girl and one of the softest tough boys in the world. I have been in service of my country for almost 10 years and have been deployed or stationed overseas most of my enlistment.

I would like to thank you again for your assistance and would also like to apologize for taking an additional day to provide this information for you. I was finding it difficult to put into words the emotions of gratitude I feel inside.

This has truly come as a blessing of God and really has let me and my family know that there are Americans that truly do support and help us in our time of need. Thank you again and I hope this helps you in receiving further support that will assist you in your ability to help service members in time of need.

As service members we are trained to sacrafice our personal needs for the needs of our nation. However we are not the only ones that do this. Our family members are also subject to our commitment to our nation. There are times when we are seperated not only by states, but by countries and continents.

My brother was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis, a condition that would require a lung transplant and he has recently taken a turn for the worse. I was notified through the Red Cross that his condition had become critical and that I should attempt to visit as soon as possible as his life expectancy was in question.

As a Leader of Marines, I had always been taught to look out for my Marines and to help them in their time of need. So now that I find myself in need I am deeply greatful that there are organizations, such as HonorOurTroops, that reach out and truly help in times of need.

I am not sure how this situation will end, but I can say that I am grateful to know that there are Americans that can come together and support one another in times of need. As a service member I want to personally say thank you for your support.

Staff Sergeant Juan Carachure
