Honor our Troops was created to provide service members and their families with assistance for expenses that may otherwise have devastating effects on the family budget.

When unanticipated expenses threaten the security and stability of military families, Honor Our Troops can help.

When the unexpected tragedy of losing a loved one, or even a blessing like the birth of a child requires service men and women to travel beyond that provided by the Department of Defense, we can be of assistance.

Help With Financial Emergencies

Unfortunately, many military families have little financial cushion. So, when unexpected expenses arrive, they can easily be a source of additional stress–the last thing that’s needed when a loved one is deployed and in harm’s way.

The program  is designed to help with items like these, among others. All payments are made directly to the creditor.

• Rent (civilian home only)
• Utility bills
• Car Payment (for the vehicle that is the only means of transportation)
• Vehicle repairs

You must be on active duty, national guard, or active reserve to receive assistance.

Help With Travel Expenses

Honor Our Troops can help subsidize the price of airfare or trainfare:

• To transport a family member to assist a military spouse during illness or after childbirth.
• For emergency leave for service members.

You must be on active duty, national guard, or active reserve.

Deployed troops receive first priority.

How to Apply for Assistance

To apply for assistance under our programs, please submit a signed application along with:

• Military service verification (currently valid dependent ID card)
• Valid driver’s license, insurance and registration (if vehicle repair)
• Copy of emergency leave form or American Red Cross aid form (for travel assistance)

You must be on active duty, national guard, or active reserve to received assistance.
